Adding your material, reading your slides and PDFs, your class calendar and generated notes cost nothing and always will — they run on your own machine. Pro pays for the part that doesn't: calls to AI models, which cost us money every time you make one.

There is no counter anywhere in the app

A number like “38 of 50” turns an allowance into a scoreboard and makes people spend it, so My Prof does not keep one. If you reach a limit you are told at that moment, by the server that knows. Limits reset monthly, and everything that runs on your own Mac keeps working regardless.

Upgrading doesn't mean re-uploading

Your Course Brain is being built from everything you add, from the day you start, on the free plan, on your machine. Pro opens it. Nothing has to be added again.

What the charge looks like on your statement

Payment goes through Stripe's Managed Payments, so your receipt names Link as the seller and the line on your card statement reads LINK.COM* MYPROFSTUDY.COM — not “My Prof”. Your bank may shorten it. It is the same charge, and we would rather you read that here than not recognise it later.

Cancelling

From your account page, from My Prof → Plans → Manage subscription, or at link.com — any time. Pro stays on until the period you paid for ends, then the account returns to Free, and the material Pro generated for you stays where it is.

What Pro actually pays for

AI model calls, made on our server so that your Mac never holds a key. That server is billed per call, which is the whole reason Pro exists. Everything that costs us nothing to run is free, permanently.
